Alongside provides Hong Kong’s first end-of-life and bereavement counselling service designed specifically for sexual/gender minorities. Under our “End-of-life Companioning” service, we support terminally ill individuals to reflect on their life stories, explore meaning, and ease their anxiety toward death — helping them face life’s final stage with peace and clarity. For those who are grieving, our “Bereavement Companioning” service offers a safe, non-judgmental space to express loss, process grief, and rebuild emotional resilience.
All services are delivered by mental health professionals, registered social workers, psychologists, or counselors. Depending on individual needs, we incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches — including expressive arts, talk-based therapy, and drama. Each service is offered with deep sensitivity to the lived experience of sexual/gender minorities, aiming to support psychological well-being and inner stability during times of loss, transition, or uncertainty.
