China Merchants Group's "eRenting" Elderly Technology Leasing System was developed and implemented in 2021. Building upon this system, the Hong Kong Council of Social Service has developed the "eRenting" Elderly Technology Leasing Website, expanding the service scope to individual users and further promoting the comprehensive application of elderly technology in the community. Individual users can utilize "eRenting" to explore different elderly technology equipment, perform simple self-assessments, and easily find suitable equipment based on different conditions and illnesses. They can also register for assistance in equipment disinfection and cleaning services, as well as enroll in various educational services and experiences, to support the aging in place for those in need.
